Sometimes, things don't work as expected. For example, there could be a problem with listing an NFT for sale, buying an NFT or buttons might not work. This guide describes possible causes and ways to resolve these problems.
Throughout this guide, there are multiple places where we suggest sending all your balance to yourself.
We suggest using CCVault wallet as it has a button exactly for this action. It is possible through Nami too, but you will have to select all assets one by one, so it might be less convenient.
Stuck or non-functioning UI
This might be caused by your browser's cache. Clearing the cache is accomplished in various ways in different browsers.
In the case of Chrome or Brave, you can use Ctrl + Shift + I shortcut to open the developer console. Then, press the refresh button that is usually positioned on the left side of the URL bar and hold it down until multiple options pop up. From the options, select Empty cache and hard reload.
For other browsers, such as Firefox and Safari, search the internet for how to clear the cache, please.
Collateral not set
When interacting with a smart contract on Cardano, such as JAM ON BREAD marketplace, you need to provide collateral input. You can create such input from your wallet in the following way.
Open the Nami extension, click on the avatar, click on collateral, type in your password and submit. This usually creates a transaction. Before the collateral is actually set, you need to wait until this transaction is confirmed.
If this does not help, there is a chance you encountered a known issue where Nami's collateral is not high enough. In this case, you need to send all your assets to your own address (make a transaction from address x to the same address `x`). Then, you need to set collateral again.
In CCVault, you need to enable dApp account by clicking on a button on CCVault's main screen. If you have your dApp account enabled and it does not work, continue reading, please.
Open CCVault and click on the settings icon on your wallet in the list of your wallets on the left side. Toggle the collateral button if it is off and wait until the transaction is confirmed if this submitted a transaction.
The most common cause of this is that you have a transaction pending, and you tried to submit another transaction. If this is the case, wait until your previous transactions are confirmed or fail and only submit the next transaction after that.
Another cause can be not having enough ADA in your wallet. There is a minimum amount of ADA that needs to be with every token.
Make sure that for each token you have in your wallet, you also have at least 1.5 ADA. Due to this, it is possible that your balance is 30 ADA, and you can't buy an NFT for 15 ADA. This is expected, and the solution is to add more ADA to your wallet. A different possible solution is to send all your ADA and assets to yourself. If you do this, don't forget to set collateral again.
Input limit exceeded
This means that you have your balance split across many small UTXOs. The solution is to send all your ADA and tokens to yourself. Make a transaction from your address x to your address x, sending everything.
Mempool is full
The transaction you submitted can't be added to the mempool because the Cardano network is congested. Try to wait a while and try to submit the transaction again.
