Service fee during a sale
We do not charge any marketplace fees for sales up to 50 ADA. For sales above 50 ADA, we charge a fee equal to 2% of the sale's price. For example, if you sell an NFT for 100 ADA, we take 2 ADA. The NFT seller pays this fee.
We respect royalty fees set by artists. Upon an NFT sale, the artist receives part of the sale price. Specific percentages charged by artists vary from project to project. You can view the royalty fee on each collection detail's page and the summary when you are listing an NFT for sale. If there is no royalty information on the collection's detail page, there are no royalty fees associated with that collection. They are usually between 2% and 5%. The NFT seller pays royalty fees. If the royalty fee is less than 1 ADA, we ignore it, as it is not possible to send amounts that are too low.
The Cardano network demands a small fee for each transaction to make spamming the network expensive. All transaction fees go to the Cardano network and are used to pay people for securing the network. We do not take any part in such fees. Transaction fees for interacting with smart contracts are a bit higher than usual transaction fees paid for sending ADA between ordinary addresses. Most of the transaction fees on JAM ON BREAD should be less than 1 ADA right now but are subject to future network protocol parameter changes.
It is about collateral. When interacting with a smart contract, you need to provide a collateral input that can possibly be lost if you are trying to do something malicious. Therefore, it is a good idea to set just a small input as a collateral input so you don't lose much if something unexpected happens. This should never happen, though. Therefore, all wallets enforce setting such collateral input and won't allow you to use JAM ON BREAD without setting it in your wallet.
